For years, there hasn’t been much to towns like Kersey and Eaton, Colorado. However, courtesy of oil and gas there have been major economic surges in both of these towns and others in Northern Colorado in recent years. Energy activity in the area has increased so much that the revenue is making big projects, such as forty-story hotels, possible, some of which are currently underway.
Brett Bloom, Kersey’s town administrator advocates that the oil and gas industry is becoming a big part of what is happening in Northern Colorado, and it’s helping out a lot of these smaller towns. Commercial business is helping out taxpayers, bringing growth to the farming community, and helping out all kinds of businesses due to more traffic in the area because of the oil field employees, who also in large part end up living in these towns.
