Today’s headline on HSZ Media described an increase in executive hiring for the upcoming year. “Sixty five percent of employers are selectively or significantly increasing executive hiring for the balance of 2014 and into 2015”, as concluded from a recent talent market survey. The survey also found almost 40 percent of unemployed executives reporting “their job prospects are significantly or slightly better”, an optimistic outlook in comparison to the past. HSZ Media explained approximately, “two-thirds of currently employed executives are now open to or actively exploring new opportunities.” According to the survey, the top executive employment sources were found to be networking or referrals and LinkedIn for both unemployed and employed executives. Internal, retained, and contingency recruiters were also indicated as excellent sources. Facebook and job boards were among the worst viewed sources for executive hiring.
